About Me

Well, fancy meeting you here!

My name is Kiera, I’m 23, and I’m the one who spills her ridiculous thoughts onto the web for your mocking, er…enjoyment.

I attend Glendon College (the bilingual liberal arts campus of York University) as an Bilingual International BA student. I’m majoring in International Studies but I’m also interested Political Science, Women’s Studies, and Sociology.  I’m doing things a little different and taking my studies part time as I work to put myself through school. I’m an eAmbassador, Campus Ambassador, and former Research Assistant here on campus!

Want to go on exchange?! I was study abroad student at Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium from January to June 2016. And yes, I was there for the terrorist attacks.

I like to write about things that matter. Sometimes, my entries matter solely to me for my own reflection, but most of the time I like to pass on knowledge and lessons that were learned the hard way…I messed up, so maybe you don’t have to 😉 I’m learning to be open and honest in owning my own story – that means telling the good parts, but also the difficult ones.

I’m a feminist who’s passionate about youth engagement, activism, politics, tea&coffee, and adventure. I’ve got a killer case of wanderlust and have traveled to 17 countries (and counting). I have had some wonderful and weird jobs, and I often dress like I’m stuck in a different decade.

  1. Hey Kiera! My name is Amy, and I’m really interested in the International Studies program at Glendon!! I’m currently a grade 11 student, so I’m just trying to research a bit more about the program and Glendon itself. I’ve read your blog and it looks like so much fun! I was wondering if you had the time to maybe answer some of my questions? If you could get back to me, that would be amazing!!
