My name is Kiera, I’m 22, and I’m the one who spills her ridiculous thoughts onto the web for your mocking, er…enjoyment.
I attend Glendon College (the bilingual liberal arts campus of York University) as an Bilingual International BA student. I’m majoring inInternational Studies but have taken lots of classes in Political Science, Women’s Studies, and Sociology. I’m doing things a little different and taking my studies part time as I work to put myself through school. I’m aneAmbassador, Campus Ambassador, and former Research Assistant here on campus!
Want to go on exchange?! I was study abroad student at Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium from January to June 2016. And yes, I was there for the terrorist attacks.
I like to write about things that matter. Sometimes, my entries matter solely to me for my own reflection, but most of the time I like to pass on knowledge and lessons that were learned the hard way…I messed up, so maybe you don’t have to 😉 I’m learning to be open and honest in owning my own story – that means telling the good parts, but also the difficult ones.
I’m a feminist who’s passionate about youth engagement, activism, politics, tea&coffee, and adventure. I’ve got a killer case of wanderlust and I like to look through the lens of a camera to focus. A lover of classic movies and literature, I’m not afraid to admit that I also have some weird niche interests. I have some wonderful and weird jobs, and I often dress like I’m stuck in a different decade.
